Ceremony Deocrations
Weather permitting, the cermony will be outdoors, and includes a pretty white wooden arbor which is already conveniently covered with ivy. I still plan on dressing it up with artificial flowers. The other decor will be blue and white hydrandgea pomanders and blue and white hydrangea in silver paper cones, and decorations for the aisle gate.
Here is my inspiration for decorating the aisle gate. The arrangement is in floral foam stuck into a small plastic cup in the sconce. Mine will be with artificial flowers, of course, but I hope to still have a nice effect..
Here is my finished scone decoration. It includes similar greenery, but also artificial ferns.
The paper cones are made from nice silver scrapbook paper from Michaels (regularly $1.99 per sheet, but of course I used coupons).
The little hands to the left belong to my toddler. Don't worry, I had a fierce eye on those little hands and the scissors (which were not left out, but were placed there for the picture and removed once the picture was taken).
The paper is thick and slick so had to be secured with super glue gel (got that from the dollar store. It's ridiculous how much other places charge).

I cut apart the hydrangea blooms and "lengthened" the smaller groupings to adjust how I stuff them into the floral foam.
So here is the finished product (hanging on the pantry door).
The next hydrangea production was the pomander balls. The concept is easy, wrap a circular floral foam in flowers and pin in a ribbon. The application? I little more tedious. I cut up the hydrangea stems again and then lengthened the individual sprigs so that I could stick them into the floral foam ball. It took me about a week with alot of breaks, but I'm finally finished with 4 pomanders and 4 cones.
